Two bike-borne miscreants opened fire on a RJD worker in Gopalganj district when he was on a morning walk near his residence on Thursday. He was rushed to a hospital where his condition is stated to be out of danger. Town Police Station SHO Prashant Kumar Roy said Rajesh Yadav (42), a local RJD leader and a furniture businessman was on a morning walk at around 6.25 am near his residence when the incident happened.
He tried to escape from the spot, but two bullets hit him, one on right hand and the other on the left side of his stomach. police immediately reached the spot and admitted him to a private hospital. The SHO added, “A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed by Gopalganj SP Swarn Prabhat. The team will be led by Sadar SDPO Pranjal. Three persons have been detained by the police and they are being interrogated.”
